From Here to Eternity I. 2008.    The series of paintings entitled ‘From Here To Eternity’ draw from a found photographic album that chronicles events in “Iris’s” life as a young girl with her friends, and ends abruptly with formal wedding photographs. The figures are taken out of their environment and floated in an abstract ground, to convey the intense presence of the snapshot’s frozen moment that is irrevocably lost.   Title: Medium: Oil on canvas.
